New Delhi| After the loss in the fourth Test against India, England captain Joe Root has admitted that the defeat is very disappointing and it is very difficult for him to digest it. England had to face defeat by 157 runs in the fourth test match against India.
Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed had scored half-centuries for England and gave the team a strong start but after their dismissal, no other batsman could play a big innings.
“It’s very disappointing, especially in an occasion where we had a chance to win. It’s hard to accept a pile-up in an innings. But we’ll have to see how we learn from Lord’s,” Root was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. We took it back to Headingley. We will do the same at Old Trafford.”
“It happened many times when we were ahead and we had a chance. There is nothing to hide in this and we will not talk sweet. We have learned something from this match,” he said.
